What is a good alternative to Fizz?
Sensus is an alternative to Fizz for students who want an anonymous campus feed where the answers add up to something: every post is a question with selections, the shares are counted, and the room's weekly highlights, rankings and readings are measured from those votes. Membership is verified per school, and posting can be anonymous.
| Fizz | Sensus | |
|---|---|---|
| Gate | School email | Verified membership per school space |
| Posts | Text, images, upvotes | Questions with counted selections, threads, places |
| Weekly layer | None | Highlights, rankings, place readings, measured |
| AI | None | Reputable AI search built from members' votes |
How Sensus compares with Fizz
Fizz gates a campus by school email and runs an anonymous feed with upvotes. Sensus also gates each school's space, but turns posts into questions whose selections are counted, keeps a thread of one-line posts through the day, and adds a place map and a Nearby feed pinned to where you stand.
What you get that a plain feed does not
- The split: who leads, by how much, and how it moved this week.
- Highlights: the room's questions of the week, proposed and voted on, anonymously if wanted.
- Rankings and readings of places, people and topics computed from votes, not written by a moderator.
- A reputable AI read that answers a question only from what verified members chose.
Sensus is an invite-only private beta on iOS. The waitlist is the way in; members can also send an invite link.
